As the water receded it created some marvellous tree root patterns in the sand that could be totally transformed by the very next wave that washed over them. Waves are marvellous to watch and the constant changing patterns they make in the sand is mesmerising.
Another painting of Filey, North Yorkshire on the east coast of England, a beautiful seaside town. This time this painting was a gift for my stepmom.
I have been promising my Aunt Anne a painting of Filey now for a little while but wasn’t quite sure what to paint her and then it came to me.

This time I was hoping for a quick watercolour painting and was sadly mistaken, as everything just kept going wrong.
I hold Scarborough lighthouse dear to my heart, so I don’t think that I would ever sell this one as I like it too much. I am however thinking of making prints of it at some stage.
