Another painting of Filey, North Yorkshire on the east coast of England, a beautiful seaside town. This time this painting was a gift for my stepmom.
Whenever I visit my home town of Filey, North Yorkshire England I always like to walk along the cliff tops to Scarborough, this usually takes a few hours with spectacular views the whole way.
As I made it to cobble landing I couldn’t resist some fish and chips and a waffle as I sat and watched people washing the lifeboat that had returned for a training exercise. After making a pig of myself I then walk along the beach and up the many stairs of Filey Brigg, which brought me back to country carpark then into town and back home.
I have been promising my Aunt Anne a painting of Filey now for a little while but wasn’t quite sure what to paint her and then it came to me.
So revisiting Filey beach, North Yorkshire England for a second time this week. I must have walked this beach hundreds of times as a kid and made lots of sandcastle, trenches on the beach
Iv’e always wanted to paint some scenery form my home town, but never seemed to get around too it. A week of Christmas themes and a gift all changed that.
