So I was down by the dam looking for some waterbirds to photograph and found a family of magpies and a rather amusing juvenile sitting on a wooden seat, so here is the story.
It was rather exciting as I hadn’t seen this type of frog before, even though its a rather common one in Queensland.
Australian magpies are a beautiful, intelligent birds and very fun to watch, but they get a bad reputation around nesting time. This one was photographed at the back of the BBQ area at Possum Park and had no interest in me in the slightest.
