Just after I photographed this wombat at Australia Zoo, he came racing down the hill to a gate. I thought he was going to be fed by his speed, to my surprise he was going for a walk, so I managed to get a much closer encounter than I was expecting.

While I was camping at Biloela, I was busily setting up my swag tent and hammering in the tent pegs, when I spotted some movement in the field next to me.

I’ve been wanting to paint a cassowary for a while now, but sticking to my rule of only painting from my own photographs, this was a little difficult.

I must have followed this guy around the creek for a good 10mins trying to get some nice shots.

I could not believe how colourful the rainbow bee-eater was, I was mesmerised by it darting around me.

Corella dam was full of wildlife and I must have photographed around 20 different types of birds in that two weeks I camped there.
