I have created a series of art workshops called “Brushes in Bunkers” ranging from complete beginners to more advanced artists. They will be held in an old 60ft WWII underground bunker which remains cool most of the year round.

While wandering through Possum Park, I frequently stumble upon these charming doves; however, I like to refer to them as my little feathered jump scare artists.

Christmas 2024 brought me a gift from my parents that was definitely up in the air—literally! They booked me a flight to Lady Elliot Island and snorkelling trip,

A few years ago I went down to South West Rocks for a friend’s wedding. I decided to make a bit of a trip out of it and stayed for a few days on either side of the wedding.

After I had finished painting in my studio / gallery one afternoon, I decided to cycle down to the disused train line behind Possum Park. On the way down the hill, I came across a group of finches, apparently called a charm.

I have visited Cradle Mountain, Tasmania a few times as I love hiking, and I have always wanted to do the Overland Track.

The playful antics of these adorable creatures brought a smile to my face, as they tumbled over one another, occasionally glancing at me with curious eyes.

After about half an hour of searching with a head torch and very depleted batteries. I briefly illuminate something with red / orange eyes that flew off into the moonless night.

While on the second part of our Alaskan tour we did a 7 day cruise and just while we were sitting down to lunch we arrived at Margerie Glacier at Tara Inlet in Glacier Bay National Park.

Skagway had some amazing buildings, and I could have happily spent hours taking photos and sketching all day.

This ground squirrel just froze when it spotted me. However It kept eating almost in slow motion while giving me the evil eye while trying not to move.

The bee was photographed on one of the flowers in my garden, hopefully I got the scale right once I sketched them both together

It’s been a super busy few months with exhibitions, competitions and teaching art classes so sometimes I forget the odd blog. This was one of them, an exhibition a few months back.

Just as I was taking my artworks down I could hear someone calling my name, I automatically thought oh bugger what have I done.

This is the third painting I’ve been commissioned to do for this couple because they have 3 children and want to leave them each a painting.

I could hear some crunching so I knew it was the possum that had found the bird seed again.

The owners know if I’m flying around on my bike one handed while trying to keep my camera secure, there is always a bird involved some place.

I completed the Chris Osborne Art Gallery, so let me show you the progress of renovating an old train carriage from the coach drivers room to an art gallery.

For my latest exhibition I decided to paint ten mini artwork to display alongside my larger artworks. This year I also included watercolour & ink paintings and some black ink sketches.

Now I always try to make things look a little natural so I went down to our local dam and photographed a few shots near the edge of the water.
