While wandering through Possum Park, I frequently stumble upon these charming doves; however, I like to refer to them as my little feathered jump scare artists.

Christmas 2024 brought me a gift from my parents that was definitely up in the air—literally! They booked me a flight to Lady Elliot Island and snorkelling trip,

A few years ago I went down to South West Rocks for a friend’s wedding. I decided to make a bit of a trip out of it and stayed for a few days on either side of the wedding.

After I had finished painting in my studio / gallery one afternoon, I decided to cycle down to the disused train line behind Possum Park. On the way down the hill, I came across a group of finches, apparently called a charm.

The playful antics of these adorable creatures brought a smile to my face, as they tumbled over one another, occasionally glancing at me with curious eyes.

After about half an hour of searching with a head torch and very depleted batteries. I briefly illuminate something with red / orange eyes that flew off into the moonless night.

While on the second part of our Alaskan tour we did a 7 day cruise and just while we were sitting down to lunch we arrived at Margerie Glacier at Tara Inlet in Glacier Bay National Park.

This ground squirrel just froze when it spotted me. However It kept eating almost in slow motion while giving me the evil eye while trying not to move.

The bee was photographed on one of the flowers in my garden, hopefully I got the scale right once I sketched them both together

This is the third painting I’ve been commissioned to do for this couple because they have 3 children and want to leave them each a painting.

I could hear some crunching so I knew it was the possum that had found the bird seed again.

The owners know if I’m flying around on my bike one handed while trying to keep my camera secure, there is always a bird involved some place.

For my latest exhibition I decided to paint ten mini artwork to display alongside my larger artworks. This year I also included watercolour & ink paintings and some black ink sketches.

Now I always try to make things look a little natural so I went down to our local dam and photographed a few shots near the edge of the water.

I took a few steps back and the dragonfly came into focus and the blurry background was just outstanding, I knew this would make a stunning painting.

Then one day I came across a pair of spotted pardalote’s building a nest and this definitely got me hooked on bird photography.

One night around the campfire I was showing off my artwork and most people were impressed apart from one Karen.

One day I was gardening and felt light I was being watched, and looked around and couldn’t see anyone

I was out at Waruma Dam camping when the world turned in on itself and covid happened.

The kookaburra snapped its beak at the swooping noisy minors and I managed to capture the moment.
