Taroom Marine Life July 2026

Thank You !

I want to extend a big thank you to everyone who showed up for my new watercolour marine life workshop at Taroom Town Hall. It was a very cold start to the morning with frost on the ground in some areas. It was wonderful to meet some new and returning faces and share some art knowledge.

Hopefully you learned some new skills and have a better understanding of watercolour as a paint medium, and learned a few wet on wet & wet on dry techniques along the way.

Also a big thank you to Cindy from the Taroom Art Group for advertising the workshop, booking the Town Hall and organising sponsorship subsidies and all the paperwork involved for the past two years.

Watercolour Marine Life
In this workshop student got to learn about different types of brushes, paper and how to use watercolour paint in different strengths to create a range of marks on 180g watercolour paper. Then moved on to create a watercolour painting of some coral from Hervey Bay and a fish from Marine World also at Hervey Bay.
