
While wandering through Possum Park, I frequently stumble upon these charming doves; however, I like to refer to them as my little feathered jump scare artists.
While on a gold panning and salmon bake tour I came across an American Crow on a low branch. Been a bird lover, I’m happy to see any new birds, even common ones to the region.
After about half an hour of searching with a head torch and very depleted batteries. I briefly illuminate something with red / orange eyes that flew off into the moonless night.
The raised train line gives you a good vantage point of the birds feeding on the grass seeds. This also gives you kilometres of open grass country and open sky to see things approaching.
While out photographing birds around Possum Park I came across a few kookaburras and they always have lots of character.
This little superb fairywren was hopping between the old World War II 17 strand barbwire fence that runs around the property at Possum Park.
This is becoming one of my favourite birds here at Possum Park. It has a wonderful call and hops and jumps between plants, you can also see it hanging upside down feeding on the nectar.
For my latest exhibition I decided to paint ten mini artwork to display alongside my larger artworks. This year I also included watercolour & ink paintings and some black ink sketches.
