Doves at Peace

The Story Behind the Painting

While wandering through Possum Park, I frequently stumble upon these charming doves; however, I like to refer to them as my little feathered jump scare artists. They sit there, all tranquil and serene, just biding their time, only to suddenly launch themselves into the air, turning me into a startled statue—complete with a heart rate that could qualify for the Olympics!

I almost called this “disagreement” as it looks like they have just had an argument. Unfortunately I have submitted all the names for my latest exhibition.

Gouache on Canson Paper

For my Black Label collection I use Winsor & Newton Gouache on Black Colourfix Art Spectrum Paper or Black Mi-Teintes Touch Canson Paper.

My paintings are based on my travel experiences. Through this blog, you can discover The Story Behind the Painting, including where and when I captured these wildlife moments, old rustic cars from historical villages, and beautiful seascapes from faraway places.

Enjoy, Chris Osborne
