Blue Domes of Santorini 2

The Story Behind the Painting

I think that Greece has been one of my favourite destinations, and within only a week, it has left a big impression on my heart. The vibrant blue of the Aegean Sea, the rich history and culture that permeate every corner created an unforgettable experience. Each day was filled with exploration, from the ancient ruins of Athens to the stunning sunsets in Santorini. The delicious Mediterranean cuisine tantalized my taste buds, with flavors that linger in my memory. Overall, Greece felt like a magical escape, a place where time stood still, allowing me to truly appreciate its beauty and charm.

Well I’m not sure I’m going to paint buildings again in acrylic paint.

A closeup of the buildings.

A closeup of the boat and rocks, my favourite part of the painting. I also love all the walking tracks on the edge of the cliff climbing up to the buildings far in the distance.

My paintings are based on my travel experiences. Through this blog, you can discover The Story Behind the Painting, including where and when I captured these wildlife moments, old rustic cars from historical villages, and beautiful seascapes from faraway places.

Enjoy, Chris Osborne
