My reference photo was captured from a trip to Mykonos, Greece, back in 2012 with my sister. After viewing these windmills during the day, we decided to go back and watch the sunset from a different viewpoint. I love traveling the world, as there is so much to experience. I just wonder if I’ll get chance to sketch and paint it all.

Initial Pencil sketch, this time with a little extra help from so masking tape. This was so I could create a nice graduating background that looked like it was behind the windmill.

Adding waterproof ink over the pencil so this will not bleed during the watercolor stage and pencil marks erased.
I was too busy thinking about selecting the right watercolors that I forgot to photograph the steps.
Watercolor added loosely just for some basic color.

Drawing in all the fine details in ink.
Finished artwork.

Final framed artwork.
