Paddocks Properties & Pioneer Parks

Gallery 107 Dalby

It’s been a super busy few months with exhibitions, competitions and teaching art classes so sometimes I forget the odd blog. This was one of them, an exhibition a few months back. It was totally different from my other exhibitions because it included watercolour & ink sketches, something I’ve been dabbling with over the past year. Also new subjects, buildings and tractors which I would paint then hide in the cupboard for a year until the exhibition.

My next solo exhibition is in Wondai September 2025 so when I get back from holiday I’ll be full on painting again for a year, with the occasional commission and competition thrown in.

Opening night

It was a super hot day and with the Bell show, a horse race and some other local sport activities that didn’t leave many people to attend my opening night. But we still had a good time and a nice meal and catch up.

The people that did turn up are the cherished ones and I love them to bits.

Time to remove all the old furniture and bedding and turn it into a functional art gallery and studio.

Shirley and Claudia from the Miles art group, thanks for driving two hours and staying overnight for my Exhibition opening.

Double hanging is quite a nice display.

For this exhibition I decided to giveaway a framed limited edition print and a few unframed prints and cards for people coming out to support me.

Winner winner chicken diner.

Sharlene overwhelmed with winning a limited edition print.

Winner of a greeting card collection.

My biggest fan, my mother

I even made the local Town & Country magazine twice.

Watercolour Paint & Paper

I use Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolour on Arches France Watercolour Paper, 300g Cold Pressed.

My painting come from my own experiences that I have photographed while traveling. By reading this blog, you as a viewer can now hear The Story Behind the Painting. Where, when, what was happening while I was photographing the wildlife.

Enjoy, Chris Osborne
