White-necked Heron

The Story Behind the Painting

Last year we had this delightful bird visit Possum Park at the Windmill Dam for a few days, the White-necked Heron. I spotted it while out on my bike ride and rushed back to get my camera, then racing back like a man possessed. The owners know if I’m flying around on my bike one handed while trying to keep my camera secure, there is always a bird involved some place. Yesterday I was chasing some kind of eagle or kite around the park without success unfortunately.

Side note, by the time this post goes live I should have landed in Vancouver for my 5 week holiday in Canada and Alaska.
