Times are Changing

Unfortunately the world has drastically changed over the past few months and this is how it’s affected my travel plans and adventures. I’ve had to put my Australian road trip (The Big Lap) on hold for an unknown time, as all campsites, national parks and state forest are closed.
Luckily I can stay at my parents bed and breakfast until the world heals itself and use my artistic skills to paint what I love.

Over the past few weeks I’ve been doing a side project to get away from painting animals for awhile. I decided to paint 12 mushrooms that I have photographed over the past 6 years.
These are small paintings around 110mm x 95mm on Arches watercolour paper, some of them I will be giving away, every Friday for #FreeArtFriday see below for details..

I thought I’d try something new and brighten peoples day by giving a few of my artworks and cards away over the next few months of lockdown and isolation.

Small artworks are the key, something that I can paint reasonably quickly and send as a card through the postoffice.

My aim is to build my social media presence on Instagram and Facebook and bring a little bit of joy to people around the world.
