The First Sketch Journal

The year 2022 I had a lady by the name of Jenny that came to view my little gallery at Possum Park. She took a fancy to the pomegranates on the tree outside the cottage and asked if she could have some, which I said “yes”.

Later that day Jenny came back with a little sketch journal that she made and said it was an exchange for the pomegranates she had taken earlier. 

If people mentioned the pomegranate tree I would tell them the story about Jenny and the little sketch journal. Almost a year later I kept seeing this little journal floating around my desk as I kept moving it from draw to draw. Then I thought, what if Jenny comes back and I haven’t used the journal I’ll be in trouble. So one day in February 2023 I decided to draw a tree stump in it.
