A 4-hour workshop that will cover sketching with waterproof ink on small A6 pieces of watercolour paper.
This is an excellent introductory workshop for people who have not sketched with waterproof ink using brushes and fine liner pens before.
You will be taught how to create specific textures in detail in brush and ink. Students will be given the opportunity to select the texture that the group creates per exercise.
This workshop is about learning textures sketches and not a complete artwork. These will be your references and study notes to enable you to become a better artist.
Each student will be supplied with all the materials to create brush & ink textures.
You will learn how to sketch your subject in pencil and then convert them into pen outlines. After this, you will use your waterproof ink with brushes to create tone and textures. Then, create fine details with fine liner pens and highlights with a knife.
You will be given the skills to identify a subject’s texture and recreate it in stages. Whether this is in pencil, pen, or ink washes.
The course will be follow by example, Osborne will explain each technique to create some realistic textures.

An example of putting different textures together to create a finished artwork.
